Reading some of the old posts I'd say they had. Undecided

My Cooper had a new gearbox under warranty   it rattled like mad when in neutral  they changed the oil  which helped for a while then the noise came back , the regional  boss came and looked at mine and compared the noise with that of another car and authorised a new gearbox  it was fitted in less than half a day .
oh and the inside of the windows get mucky when you put them down after it rains

If you listen to some of the audio on white roof radio the Americans dont seem to put much faith into the way we build cars here in the UK. I think we have a reputation from the old British Leyland days that does not seem to want to go away

the mirror in the passenger side wing mirror rattles when we close the door, We brokedown on a very busy island in the rush hour. MINI had to come out and fix it turned out be a normal electrical problem and various other things as well.

Hopefully our new Clubman will be far better built and more reliable

Just rememberd the drivers side window motor packed up in the fully up position thus stopping us opening or closing the door. Grin
